Paul Habibi is Principal of Grayslake Advisors, LLC and a leading expert in the real estate industry. As a tenured lecturer at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management and the UCLA School of Law, and accomplished real estate investor/developer, his unique perspective has ideally positioned him to serve as expert witness in cases for several Fortune 500 clients and multinational law firms.
Widely quoted in the media, he has appeared on BBC World News, The Today Show, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, ABC and NPR, as well as all major dailies including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times.
As a lecturer in real estate at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, Paul has been a finalist for Teacher of the Year every year he has taught MBA students. He teaches in the areas of real estate finance, development, and social entrepreneurship. At the UCLA School of Law, he teaches real estate financial analysis.
Outside of campus, he is Principal of Habibi Properties, LLC, one of the largest privately-held apartment owners in Los Angeles. Habibi Properties is also the Managing Member of the Arrowhead Residential Funds I, II, III and IV, which invest in distressed real estate in Kansas City, Missouri.
Paul previously held positions as an Investment Banking Associate at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Manager of Transaction Support with The Walt Disney Company, and Audit Manager with Arthur Andersen LLP.
Paul holds an MBA with Highest Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, under merit scholarship, and graduated Beta Gamma Sigma. He also holds a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, and is a licensed CPA and Real Estate Salesperson in the State of California. Active in the community, he serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Charter School Development, and as Advisor to Los Angeles Streetcar, Inc.
